The Salvation Army is prepared to respond to fires, flooding, tornadoes and other emergencies by providing assistance to affected families in this time of crisis or to support the first responders risking their lives to ensure the citizens are out of harm’s way and can start rebuilding their lives. Volunteers and Corps Officers meet the physical and spiritual needs of people in crisis. Canteens or mobile feeding units are set up to provide food, beverages, emergency shelter and emotional and spiritual care.
If needed, crews may set up a Disaster Relief Center to provide:
- Financial Assistance
- Cleaning Kits
