After our annual Red Kettle campaign, The Salvation Army annual luncheon is our second-largest fundraiser of the year. This year, the annual luncheon was to be held at the University of the Incarnate Word Sky Room in May.  Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic prevented us from hosting the event, so instead, we are hosting a VIRTUAL LUNCHEON on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at noon.  We invite you to see how the Salvation Army in San Antonio is helping families and individuals deal with challenges during this unprecedented time and how your donations help those in need.

Your donations will help serve San Antonio neighbors

Our mission

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Key services we provide

For 130 years, The Salvation Army has provided vital support services to the residents of San Antonio and Bexar County. We are here to provide immediate solutions in times of crisis and assist individuals and families with the necessary resources to better their lives. We provide more than 500,000 residents each year with shelter, food, and fellowship, as well as human development and enrichment programs, homeless prevention programs, disaster services, and seasonal assistance.  All services are provided in a compassionate and nurturing environment to restore hope and dignity.
