Dave Coy Men’s Shelter provides emergency shelter and transitional housing opportunities for up to 45 men experiencing chronic homelessness and/or lack a stable housing environment. Participants receive three meals daily and work with a case manager to identify and coordinate available educational and career development opportunities and other resources to facilitate greater independence and self-sufficiency. The facility is firearm, alcohol, smoke, and drug-free.

Types of stays:

Night-by-Night:  Dorm style setting.  Residents who are starting over get a chance to gain employment.  Length of stay is based on progress and residents are re-evaluated each week based on their goals and shelter requirements.  When a resident obtains two paychecks, they graduate into the Work Program.  

Work Program: Goal-based transitional housing program for residents who have been employed full-time for at least 30 days.  Proof of employment, pay stubs and valid photo ID required.  The long-term goal is to secure permanent housing.

SSI Program:  Goal-based transitional housing program for residents receiving monthly supplemental income, such as retirement or VA benefits.  To qualify, show proof of a recent awards letter, meet fee requirements and a valid photo ID.  The long-term goal is to secure permanent housing.  Call for more information.

  • Men 18 years and older
  • English, Spanish
  • In-Person Application: Call first to confirm availability.
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Documents Required: Valid photo identification, verification of employment (if employed), completed an intake application at the front registration desk, breathalyzer administered upon entry, and personal bags check. call for more information.
